Managing a quote

How can I cancel a request for quote?

You can cancel a request for quote, if you have not yet accepted it and if Vestas is not in the process of creating it.

  1. Open the page of the quote that you wish to cancel .
  2. Click "Cancel request" in the upper right corner of the page and confirm that you want to cancel your request

How can I edit a request for quote?

If Vestas has not yet begun processing your request, you can still edit details in your request for quote.

Adding new products and editing quantity of products:

  1. Open the page of the quote that you would like to edit.
  2. Click “Add/edit products” to be able to edit the product list.
  3. Add new products by clicking “Add line” and entering the Item # and quantity of the product, that you would like to add to your request
  4. Edit quantity of a product by entering a different number in the quantity box
  5. Clicking “Save changes” will inform Vestas about your changes to your request for quote, and we will get back to you as soon as possible with updated prices

Changing ship-to or bill-to:

  1. Open the page of the quote that you would like to edit.
  2. Click “Change" next to either the ship-to or bill-to that you want to edit
  3. Select a new ship-to or bill-to from the dropdown, and click "Save Changes" to update your request for quote

Change contact details:

  1. Open the page of the quote that you would like to edit.
  2. Click “Edit" next to contact details
  3. Select a new contact person from the dropdown, and click "Save changes" to update your request for quote

Adding or editing PO-number or reference number

  1. Open the page of the quote that you would like to edit.
  2. Click “Change" next to either the ship-to or bill-to that you want to edit
  3. Select a new ship-to or bill-to from the dropdown, and click "Save Changes" to update your request for quote

Adding delivery site contact:

  1. Open the page of the quote that you would like to edit.
  2. Click “Add delivery site contact" next to either the ship-to or bill-to that you want to edit
  3. Select a new ship-to or bill-to from the dropdown, and click "Save Changes" to update your request for quote

Adding a comment to quote history 

  1. Open the page of the quote that you would like to edit.
  2. Scroll to bottom of quote page to field “Activity history and comments”
  3. Write your comment and click “Post comment”

When does my quote expire?

Unless otherwise stated, your quote expires after 30 days from the date, which you received it.

You can view the exact expiration date of a quote at the top of the quote page.

How do I merge quotes?

You can merge between 2 and up to 10 quotes on Shop Vestas into one quote.

On your quote overview, quotes eligible for merging are marked “Eligible for merging” under “Status”. Quote status must be “Quote expired” or “Quote received”.

  1. Marking 2 or more quotes eligible for merging will enable bulk action “Merge quotes” in top left corner on quote overview screen. Click on “Merge quotes”
  2. An overview of quotes for merge will appear. Click on “Confirm” to procced.
  3. Select parent quote. Parent quote will remain on Shop Vestas and contains all items from merged quotes. Click “Merge Quotes” to continue.
  4. Merging of quotes is now successful. Click on “Close” to finish
  5. In the quote activity history, merge quote comment is added followed by quote changed comments with item details
  6. The parent quote will be resubmitted as new quote request and will reprocessed by Vestas.
  7. Remaining quotes from merge action are automatically cancelled and are no longer visible on Shop Vestas.
  8. Once quote is ready, you can view and accept quote by going to quote page and clicking "Accept quote". This will place your order.
  9. You can at any time see you quote status by going to quote overview page.
